Learn Glogster Tools Part 3

Once you have added an element to your page, it can be edited in order to style and place it how you want it.

Click EDIT to access the options for editing individual elements on the editing page. When you are finished, click OK to return to the regular individual EDIT tool box.

  1. Change colour.

    • Click the colour spectrum box.
    • Choose/create the desired colour.
    • You cannot enter an exact colour identification number.

  2. Add a web link.

    • Copy the address from the browser and paste it in the url box.
    • Hit APPLY for the change to take effect.

  3. Create fx – shadow.

    • Use the slider to create and alter a shadow for the element you are editing.
    •  the DISTANCE of the shadow from the element,
    • the ANGLE of the shadow from the element,
    • the ALPHA (darkness) of the shadow under the element,
    • the BLUR of the edges around the shadow, and
    • the COLOUR of the shadow using the colour picker box at the bottom.

  4. Create fx – alpha.

    • Use the slider to choose the darkness of the element as a whole.

      NOTE: There are also ”text” editing functions if you are editing a text box. You have the following options: font, font size, alignment and colour. 

  5. Bring it forward.

    • Click once to bring the element forward one level.
    • Repeat to bring it forward another level. Etc.

  6. Put it Behind.

    • Click once to send the element back one level.
    • Repeat to send it back another level. Etc.

  7. Clone it.

    • Click once to make an exact duplicate of the element.
    • Repeat if more are desired.

  8. Cancel changes.

    • Click once to revert to the original state of the element when you first added it to the screen.
    • Note that all changes made to the element will be lost.
  9. Delete it.

    • Click the garbage can once.
    • Note that you will NOT be asked if you are sure, so be careful about accidentally hitting the garbage can.
